Rosewood Highboard with Tamboured Doors
Rosewood highboards are becoming quite difficult to find these days, and one like this with incredible figuring in the rosewood, four sliding (tamboured) doors, and overall high quality of construction is really rare to have in store. Highboards can be big and dominating in a space, but this one has a lower and longer line that sets it apart from its broad shouldered beefier cousins.
This is perfect for a dining room, storage in a living room or used as a bar, mount a TV above it for an entertainment/media center. Anywhere it goes will be improved by the clean Scandinavian lines in this classic mid 20th century piece.
Condition is overall very good. Some fading with the rosewood as is expected, but it still retains a deep rose hue in most areas. We did a bit of touch up on some veneer, deep cleaning all around, treated the wood with some Danish oil where appropriate, and made sure the piece is good to go for another 50+ years
